ABOUT
My name is Christy Tai. I am an upper limb amputee and I have been shocked and disappointed at the limited (if not nearly non-existent) prosthetic and cosmesis options for women in the world. Prosthetics, upper limb in particular, are ideated for men and children first - women are an after thought. Female end users or designers are not even a customizable consideration as the perception is there is no money to be made from that target market. Never-mind that it is a functional, social and psychological need.
I aim to change that.

Haute Limbs will be launching several global design contests, focusing on three replicable design and manufacturing models: 3D printing, Laser Cutting and other miscellaneous Free Form approaches the creative world has to offer.
MY VISION: To offer easily accessible, sizable, customizable and most importantly, fashionable prosthetic and cosmetic limbs and adaptive devices for anyone seeking an artistic alternative to life as an upper limb amputee.
